Two Peas Privacy Policy

In short

  • Two Peas is a game for a child and a grown-up to play together on one phone.
  • There is no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. The app contacts only two services: Apple's App Store, to show prices and handle purchases and restores, and RevenueCat, which we use to keep track of subscriptions. Each time the app opens, RevenueCat gets a random ID and technical details about the device, and later the purchase records. None of it carries a name, email or Apple Account.
  • Player names, pictures, photos and scores are kept on your device, not sent to us. Photos become coloring pages on the device and are never uploaded.
  • Purchases go through Apple. We never see your name, Apple Account or payment details, only purchase records under a random ID.
  • Anything to do with buying, or that leaves the app, is behind a grown-ups-only check.

Who is responsible

Two Peas is published by Avenia Consulting (Paris, France) and made by Marouane Gazouzi. Avenia Consulting is the controller under the GDPR for anything this policy covers. RevenueCat, Inc. processes the data described under Purchases for us, as our subscription provider.

What stays on your device

The app keeps the following on your iPhone or iPad. None of it is sent to us.

Player names, chosen pictures and colors

Why: To show who is playing on each half of the screen

Where it stays: On the device, until you change the players or delete the app

A player photo, if you take or choose one

Why: To use as that player's picture

Where it stays: On the device, kept out of iCloud and computer backups

Pose and Color photos

Why: To turn into the coloring page for that game

Where it stays: In memory only while you play. They are not saved and never uploaded

Game progress: finished puzzles, scores, stars, challenges, weekly wins

Why: To show your progress, today's challenges and the streak

Where it stays: On the device, until you delete the app

Whether the family has the Two Peas Pass or Pose and Color

Why: To open the games you bought, even before the App Store answers

Where it stays: On the device; Apple holds the purchase itself

Like other app data, names, progress and purchase status are included in your own iCloud or computer backup, which we can't see; player photos are kept out of it. Deleting the app removes all of this from the device. A backup made earlier keeps its copy until you delete that backup. We have no copy ourselves, so we can't restore anything.

Camera and photos

The app asks for the camera only when you take a player picture or a Pose and Color photo. Turning a photo into a coloring page and finding faces in it both happen on the device.

When you choose a photo instead, Apple's photo picker gives the app only the photo you pick. The app never sees the rest of your library.

Purchases

The Two Peas Pass (monthly or yearly) and Pose and Color are sold by Apple through the App Store, with Family Sharing. Apple handles payment, receipts, renewals and refunds. We don't receive your name, Apple Account, email or payment details.

To keep track of subscriptions, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc. (United States). Each time the app opens, even before anything is bought, it gives RevenueCat a random ID that RevenueCat creates for this install, Apple's identifier for vendors (IDFV) for this device, and technical details such as the app version, iOS version, device model, language and store country; like any internet request, the connection also shows an IP address. Once the family has bought something (on any device, or through Family Sharing), RevenueCat also receives the purchase records from the App Store: what was bought, when, the price and currency, the store country, and renewals and refunds. It never receives a name, email or Apple Account.

RevenueCat uses these records for us to confirm purchases and to give us sales totals. They are pseudonymous: tied to these IDs, never to a name, email or Apple Account. They are kept as long as needed to provide the service and to meet accounting rules, and deleted on request.

You can cancel the pass at any time in Settings › your name › Subscriptions.

Children

Two Peas is made for families with young children. We collect nothing that identifies a child: no names, photos or progress leave the device. The only things that leave the device are what RevenueCat receives, described under Purchases: random IDs, technical details about the device and, once the family has bought something on the App Store, the purchase records. None of it carries a child's name or picture.

There are no ads, no chat, no social features and no links children can follow on their own. Buying, restoring purchases, managing the subscription and every link out sit behind a grown-ups-only check: a times-table question typed on a keypad.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete personal data and to object to its use. Everything except what RevenueCat receives (see Purchases) stays on your device, so you can do this yourself: change the players in the grown-ups corner, or delete the app (and any backup that holds it) to remove everything.

To have the records held by RevenueCat deleted, write to hello@aveniaconsulting.com. Apple holds the purchases themselves. You can also complain to the CNIL, the French data protection authority, at cnil.fr.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change ever meant sending other information off the device, the app would ask first.
